Goalkeeper Training

Jersey Knights soccer club offers free goal keeping training to all current Jersey Knights players. Training is held weekly during the fall and spring seasons. It also runs during the winter training months. The training is open to all ages and all Jersey Knights goal keepers are strongly encouraged to attend.

Coach Herd  has over ten years experience working with the Jersey Knights. He is an Edison resident with a wealth of soccer experience, who  also serves on the Board of Directors at the Club.

Tom is a licensed and experienced coach. He currently serves as a coach for the women’s team at Metuchen High School. He is also a head trainer for the Bulldog Soccer School and in the summer months has run his own GK clinics.  In addition, he is a lead trainer at the JK Summer Soccer Academy. Tom is licensed with the USSF and holds a National Goalkeeping Diploma with the United Soccer Coaches Association.

Tom plans, organizes and implements all aspects of goalkeeping for the Jersey Knights. Goalkeepers that train with Tom consistently go on after having success for club and high school to play at the collegiate level.
