The U16G Jersey Knights Mystic were finalists in the NJ Wildcats Tournament this past weekend.  The team went undefeated in group play, and  lost in the final on penalty kicks after the game ended 1-1 in regulation.  The Mystics opened the tournament by defeating the Watchung Liberty 3-1, and beating Jersey United 2-1 on a game winning goal by Alex Chinich with 30 seconds left in the game.

The Mystic came from behind to defeat a strong Toms River team in game three to advance to the final.  Bridget Giovenco blasted home a free kick from 25 yards out to secure the win!  In the championship game versus Ocean SC the score ended 1-1 with both teams playing excellent soccer.  Ocean won the penalty kick shootout 4-3.  Mystic goalkeepers, Kat Plowman and Megan Dunn were exceptional throughout the entire tournament. The Mystic is trained and coached by Mike Kizoulis.
