Mike Knoth - Soccer Director,  Coach/Trainer

 
Mike Knoth, Soccer DirectorMike is a retired building administrator in the Metuchen School District with over 40 years of experience working with children of all ages. His soccer experience includes 40+ years of coaching soccer at various levels from U-8 to U-23. As one of its founders, Mike has been with the Jersey Knights since its inception.
 
Along with his duties as Director of Soccer, Mike is also the Varsity Coach for the Metuchen High School Women's Team. In 2021 Mike was named Women's Coach of the Year for the 3rd time by the Greater Middlesex Conference. In addition, in 2022 he was named GMC Divisional Coach of the Year for the 6th time and Central Jersey Coach of the Year by the Home News Tribune. 
 
Mike is the Director of Little Knights Soccer, The Jersey Knights Training Club, JK Elite and the Jersey Knights Summer 7 v 7 Soccer League. He also directs the Knights Summer Soccer Academy as well as Bulldog Soccer School in Metuchen and Roselle Park. He is an original  member of the Jersey Knights Board of Directors and currently serves as the Soccer Director overseeing all  teams and programs. 
 
Mike has been with the Jersey Knights since its founding in 1992. Over that time his  teams have competed at elite levels throughout the Eastern United States, Scotland, England and Costa Rica. Many of his players have gone on to compete at the collegiate level. Mike lettered 4 years for the Kean University Soccer Team and played in the Garden State Soccer League  with the Jersey Knights Semi-Pro Team. Mike has national licenses, including a Director of Coaching Diploma with USSF & United Soccer Coaches. He is member of the NJGSCA.
