The 2014 high school soccer season was an exciting one for Jersey Knights players. The Knights, with players competing all over the Central New Jersey Area, had a number of players recognized for their stellar play during the season. Read below to see some of the honors Jersey Knights Soccer Club players  have earned. In addition, take a look at our upcoming Winter Programs and our 2014 coaches highlight.
Women's 2014 Honor Roll! Jersey Knights Women continue to enjoy success at the high school level in soccer. Congratulations to all Knights players who were recognized for their performances on the soccer field during the Fall 2014 season. Leading this years class of all-stars earning Post Season Honors include Katrina Morales, Jessica Meagher, Jackie Von Itter, Tracy Michalski, and Ashley Atubi.

Katrina Morales
for the South Brunswick Vikings and the Jersey Knights U17 Daggers earned 1st Team All-GMC Honors, All GMC Red Division and was named to the 1st Team Home News All-Area Team. Katrina, a senior central defender, led a strong So. Brunswick defense. She scored 4 goals and recorded 7 assists for the Vikings.  
Jess Meagher
 
Jessica Meagher, midfielder for Spotswood High School and the Knights U17 Daggers scored 12 goals and recorded 4 assists this season. Jessica was named to the All-GMC 1st Team, All Blue Division Team and named to the Home News All Area 1st team.                                                      
Jackie Von Itter 

Jackie Von Itter,  a player for the U17 Daggers and Dunellen High School scored 24 goals with 16 assists for the Destroyers. Jackie earned All State Group 1 3rd team honors as well as earning honorable mention on both the Home News and Courier News All Area Teams. She also earned All GMC Gold Division recognition..  

Tracy Michalski

 

Tracy Michaski, a sophomore defender from Metuchen High School and the U16 Rebels,earned All GMC Conference Honors as well as All GMC Blue Division. Tracy also was named to the Home News All Area 1st Team.Tracy recorded 3 assists for the Bulldogs this year.


 

Ashley Atubi
Ashley Atubi, a freshman striker from North Plainfield also with the U16 Rebels earned All State Group 2 -2nd Team Honors as well as 1st Team Skyland Conference Mountain Division recognition. Ashley also was named to the the Courier News Honorable Mention Team. She scored 29 goals  and recorded 6 assists for her No. Plainfield High School team.
 
 
Katie Mascali
Katie Mascali, a junior midfielder from Monroe High School earned Home News All Area Honorable Mention recognition and was named to the GMC All Red Division Team. Katie, a member of the U17 Daggers, led Monroe High School with 9 assists this year.

and the U16 Rebels earned GMC All Red Division recognition as well as being named to the Home News All Area Honorable Mention Team. Breanna scored 6 goals and recorded 5 assists this past fall for the Knights.
Julie Youngman
 
Julie Youngman, a senior striker for the North Brunswick Raiders. She led the Raiders with 7 goals this year.
She was named to the GMC All White Division 1st Team. Julie is a member of the U17 Daggers.
 
Abby Cicoria
Abby Cicoria, A junior at Monroe High School, earned Home News All Area Honorable recognition this year. Abby scored 2 goals and recorded 4 assists for the Falcons. Abby is a member of the U17 Daggers.

Men's 2014 Honor Roll! 
Jersey Knights Men also continue to enjoy much success at the high school level in soccer. Congratulations to all Knights players who were recognized for their performances on the soccer field during the Fall 2014 Season. Leading this year's group of honorees earning Post Season Honors are Alex Infosino, Brandon Cruz, Brandon Goldy, and Dave Durski.
Alex Infosino

Alex Infosino was named to the Star Ledger 1st Team All-

State Team, the Greater Middlesex Conference All Conference 1st Team by GMC Coaches,and 1st team All GMC Red Division. In addition, Alex also was named to the Home News Tribune All Area 1st Team and named Home News Player of the Year. Alex, a Striker for Monroe High School scored 25 goals and recorded 14 assists. Alex is a member of the U18 Jersey Knights Fire.  

 

Brandon Goldy

Brandon Goldy, a defender for the St Joseph's Falcons earned Star Ledger All State 3rd Team and Non-Public School 1st Team recognition. Brandon also was named 1st Team All Greater Middlesex Conference by GMC Coaches, and 1st team All GMC Red Division. Brandon also was named to the Home News Tribune All Area 2nd Team. Brandon plays on the U18 Fire.

Brandon Cruz, a junior form St. Joseph's High School scored 19 goals and recorded 3 assists this season for the Falcons. Brandon earned All-State recognition form the Star Ledger on the Non-Public School  2nd TeamHe also was named 1st Team All-Greater Middlesex Conference by GMC coaches and All GMC Red Division.Brandon also was named to the Home News Tribune All Area 1st Team. Brandon plays on the U18 Fire.

 

Dave Durski, a midfielder for Monroe High School, was

named to the Home News All Area 1st team. Dave scored 12 goals and recorded 12 assists for the Falcons. In addition, he was named to the GMC All Conference 1st Team and the  Red Division 1st Team by Greater Middlesex Coaches.  Dave is a member of the JK Fire.

 

Justin Thompson, a midfielder for the Monroe Falcons, scored 3 goals with 7

assists this season. He earned Home News All Area 2nd Team recognition. Justin also was named to the GMC All Red Division 1st Team by Greater Middlesex coaches. Justin is a member of the Jersey Knights Fire.

  

Kevin Korycki, from Colonia High School,earned GMC All White Division 1st Team honors and was recognized by the Home News with All Area Honorable Mention distinction. Kevin scored 7 goals this season leading the Patriots into the State tournament He is a member of the U18 Fire.

 

Matt Parris, a junior from Timothy Christian High School in Piscataway was named 1st Team All Gold Division. Matt plays for the U17 Imperials.

 

Hunter Merrick, a junior from Monroe High School, earned Home News All-Area Honorable Mention Honors this season. Hunter plays for the U18 Fire. 

 

Bryce Horn also form Monroe High School was named to the Home News All-Area Honorable Mention Team.Bryce is also a member of the U18 Fire.

Little Kickers

Winter Programs for 2014 include the very popularLittle Kickers SoccerProgram and The Training ClubLittle Kickers is a fun-filled soccer program that is designed to expose youngsters ages 4-7 years of age to the joy of playing soccer. 

 

The Training Club is a program that is a technical skills program designed for children 6-10 years of age. Players at both programs are trained by the Knights professional staff of coaches. Click on the links below for more information:

Jersey Knight Coaches Spotlight! 

Meet Our Directors 

lopes
Pedro Lopes

Pedro Lopes is the Soccer Director for Jersey Knights Men's Program and Director of Training for the Club.  In addition, he is the Trainer/Coach of the U17B Imperials. He is a member of the Knights Board of Directors.

 

Pedro has an impressive soccer resume that includes being named a two-time All-American at Rutgers University and extensive college coaching experience at the Division 1 level. He has been with the Jersey Knights Program for over 15 years. 

 

Mike Knoth

 

Mike Knoth is one of the original founders of the Jersey Knights Soccer Club. He serves as the Women's Soccer Director as well as on the Board of Directors for the Club. Mike also trains and coaches the U17G Daggers and oversees the Knights U16 - U18 College Recruitment Program. 

 

Now retired, Mike was a long-time school administrator in the Metuchen School System. Prior to working as an administrator he coached in the Metuchen High School men's program for 25 years.

Mike Kizoulis
 
Mike Kizoulis is an educator in Woodbridge School District and the varsity men's coach for Colonia High School. In addition to working with the women's program, he is the Trainer/Coach of the U16G  Jersey Knights Rebels and a member of the Jersey Knights Board of Directors. 
 
Mike's work with Knights women's teams has been impressive. This year his U16 Rebel team won two championships in fall college showcases and were a finalist in a third. There are high expectations for them this coming spring.
 
Steve MacKenzie

Steve MacKenzie is an educator and coach in the Monroe School system. He is the long-time coach of the Monroe High School men's team. This season Monroe completed another strong season with a 21-4-1 record.


 

 In addition to working with the men's teams, Steve also coaches and trains the U18B Fire and U20M Knights 

Y-League team. 

 

Steve has been with the Knights Program for over 15 years and has worked with players of all ages. He is a member of the Board of Directors.
