2013 Post Season Honors

The 2013 high school soccer season was an exciting one for Jersey Knights players. The Knights, with players competing all over the Central New Jersey Area, had many players recognized for their stellar play during the season. Read below to see some of the honors Jersey Knights Soccer Club players  have earned. In addition, take a look at our upcoming Winter Programs and our 2013 Coaches Highlight.
Women's 2013 Honor Roll! Jersey Knights Women continue to enjoy success at the high school level in soccer. Congratulations to all Knights players who were recognized for their performances on the soccer field during the Fall 2013 season. Leading this years class  earning Post Season Honors include Lindsey Hoagland, Gabby Cyran, Kate Marold and Megan Kosa.

for the North Brunswick Raiders and the Jersey Knights U18 Ambush earned Honorable mention on the Home News All-Area Team. Lindsey, a senior, was a versatle player for the Raiders. While usually guarding the center of the North Brunswick defense she also played in the midfield and at forward where she scored a number of important goals.                     
Kate Marold
 
Kate Marold, goalkeeper for the Edison Eagles and  the U18 Ambush, earned All Area Honorable Mention Honors.This season Kate made 273 saves while leading the Edison defense. Kate will be continuing her soccer career at Centenary College next Fall.                                                               
Megan Kosa 

Megan Kosa a player for the U18 Ambush and Cardinal McCarrick High School earned Home News Honorable Mention All-Area Honors. Megan led Cardinal McCarrick with 18 goals and 8 assists this season. 

Gabby Cyran

 

Gabby Cyran, from Metuchen High School also earned All Area Honorable Mention honors from the Home News. Gabby was the central midfielder for the highly successful Metuchen team this year. Her 9 goals and 1 assist helped lead the Bulldogs to a 20-2-2 record. Gabby is also a member of the U18 Ambush..

 

Abby Cocoria
Abby Cicoria, a sophomore midfielder from Monroe High School and the U16 Jersey Knights Daggers, earned All Area Honorable Mention Recognition. This season Abby scored 1 goal and recorded 8 assists for the Falcons.

Katie Mascali
High School earned Honorable Mention All Area distinction this Fall. Katie, a sophomore, scored 3 goals and recorded 1 assist. Katie plays for the U16 Daggers. 
Katrina Morales

 

Katrina Morales, a junior, for South Brunswick High School earned Home News Tribune All Area Honorable Mention status. Katrina a sweeper, led a strong Viking defense. Katrina plays for the U16 Daggers.

Men's 2013 Honor Roll! 
Jersey Knights Men also continue to enjoy much success at the high school level in soccer. Congratulations to all Knights players who were recognized for their performances on the soccer field during the Fall 2013 Season. Leading this year's group of honorees earning Post Season Honors are Joey Gudsak, Christian Corbisiero, Harry Landis, and Tyler Utheim.

Joey Gudsak  was named to the 1st Team All Greater Middlesex Conference by GMC Coaches, and 1st team All GMC Red Division. Joey also was named to the Home News Tribune All Area 1st Team and named Home News Player of the Year. Joey, a midifelder for East Brunswick High School, was named to the Star Ledger All State 3rd Team as well as being on the All Middlesex County 1st Team.Joey is a member of the U18 Jersey Knights Wizards.  

 

Christian Corbisiero a player for the Monroe Falcons was the premier defender in the GMC this season. He earned 1st Team All Greater Middlesex Conference by GMC Coaches, and 1st team All GMC Red Division. Christian also was named to the Home News Tribune All Area 1st Team. Christian led a strong falcon defense that had 7 shutouts this past fall. He was name by the Star Ledger to its All State 3rd team and 1st Team All Middlesex County. Christian plays on the U18 Wizards.

 

Harry Landis

Harry Landis is the leader of the Highland Park High School team. This season he led the Owls with 13 goals and 5 assists while playing mostly at sweeper. Harry earned 1st Team All Area honors from the Home News Tribune and 1st Team All GMC as voted by Greater Middlesex Conferences coaches. The Star Ledger named Harry to its All Group 1 1st team as well as to its All Middlesex County 1st team. 

 

Tyler Uthiem, a goalkeeper for Monroe High School, was

named to the Home News All Area 2nd team. In addition, Tyler was named to the GMC All Conference 1st Team and the  Red Division 1st Team by Greater Middlesex Coaches. Tyler with 120 saves and strong play in the net led the Falcons to 7 shutouts. Tyler is a member of the JK Wizards.

 

Omar Garcia, a midfielder for the New Brunswick Zebras, Scored 3 goals with 2 assists this season. He earned Home News All Area Honorable Mention recognition. Omar also was named to the GMC All White Division 1st Team by Greater Middlesex coaches. Omar is a member of the Jersey Knights Fire.

  

Corey Klaskin, from Monroe High School, earned GMC All Red Division 1st Team honors and was recognized by the Home News with All Area Honorable Mention distinction. Corey scored 3 goals and had 4 assists for a strong Monroe team this season.He is a member of the U18 Wizards. 

Alex Infosino

Alex Infosino was recognized  by the Home News to its All Area Team Honorable Mention Team. Alex led Monroe High School  this season in scoring with 10 goals and 5 assists. He is a member of the Jersey Knights Fire

 

 Brian Sullivan a member of the Metuchen High School team, earned Home News All Area Honorable Mention recognition this past season. He also was recognized as a GMC All Blue Division 1st Team player by Greater Middlesex Coaches. Brian posted 3 goals and 4 assists for the 9-9-4 Bulldogs. Brian is a member of the JK Wizards. 

Justin Thompson

 

Justin Thompson scored 8 goals with 4 assists for the 13-9-1 Monroe Falcons this season. Justin earned Home News All Area Honorable Mention recognition. He is a member of the Jersey Knights Fire.

Little Kickers

Winter Programs for 2013 include the very popularLittle Kickers SoccerProgram and The Training Club. Little Kickers is a fun-filled soccer program that is designed to expose youngsters ages 4-7 years of age to the joy of playing soccer. 

 

The Training Club is a program that is a technical skills program designed for children 6-10 years of age. Players at both programs are trained by the Knights professional staff of coaches. Click on the links below for more information:

Jersey Knight Coaches Spotlight! 

Meet Our Directors

Pedro Lopes

Pedro Lopes is the Soccer Director for Jersey Knights Men's Program and Director of Training for the Club.  In addition, he is the Trainer /Coach of the U16B Imperials. He is a member of the Knights Board of Directors.

 

Pedro has an impressive soccer resume that includes being named a 2 time All-American at Rutgers University and extensive college coaching experience at the Division 1 level. He has been with the Jersey Knights Program for over 15 years. 

 

Mike Knoth

 

Mike Knoth is one of the original founders of the Jersey Knights Soccer Club. He serves as the Women's Soccer Director as well as on the Board of Directors for the Club. Mike also trains and coaches the U16G Daggers and oversees the Knights U16 - U18 College Recruitment Program. 

 

Mike is a long-time administrator in the Metuchen School System. Prior to working as an administrator he coached in the Metuchen High School men's program for 25 years.

Mike Kizoulis is an educator in Woodbridge School District and the varsity men's coach for Colonia High School. In addition to working with the women's program, he is the Trainer/Coach of the U18G  Jersey Knights Ambush and a member of the Jersey Knights Board of Directors. 
 
Mike's work with Knights women's teams has been impressive. This year a number of his current Ambush players have committed to colleges to play soccer with a number of them earning post season honors! 
 
Steve MacKenzie

Steve MacKenzie is an educator and coach in the Monroe School system. He is the long-time coach of the very successful Monroe High School men's team.  In addition to working with the men's teams, Steve also coaches and trains the U18B Wizards and U20M Knights. 

 

Steve has been with the Knights Program for over 15 years and has worked with players of all ages. He is a member of the Board of Directors.
