Javier Velasco - Trainer/Coach U14B Galacticos

Javier is in his 15th year with the Jersey Knights Soccer Club. He has worked with players of all ages from U9 through U20. His extensive experience as both coach and player makes him a valuable asset to the Knights Program. Javier currently trains and coaches the U14B Galacticos.

Javier is a graduate of Kean University.  His coaching resume is very diverse. He is currently the head coach for Norht Brunswick High School women. He is the former coach of the Arthur Johnson High School (Clark) Women’s Team where he led them to the New Jersey State Group 2 Finals. In addition to coaching in Clark, Javier has been the Head Coach for the Edsion High School and Manville High School men’s eams. He has also spent time at the college level as an assistant coach at NJIT.

At the club level Javier has coached and trained a variety of Jersey Knights teams with as well as working with The 15-17 year old teams at PDA. He has worked with the NJ ODP and has extensive camp experience. Javier has worked at Bob Reasso’s Rutgers Elite Camp, The Drew University Camp, the Mercer County College Camp, North Jersey Imperials Camp and the Rovers International Camp. 

As a player, Javier played High school ball at North Brunswick and his college soccer at Centenary College and Kean University. Following college he played professionally with the North Jersey Imperials, the New Jersey Stallions, the Central Jersey Riptide and Liga De Portoviejo in Ecuador.
